Mommy has been so busy that she has not been having time once again to update the blog...... :(
Mommy says will do it soon :))
Today, Nira has gone with Grandpa to see the puppies in the Dog shop. Nira just loves puppies. She goes crazy over them. Mommy told her that she could have one when she is a lot bigger and can take care of herself and puppy.
Nisha on the other hand has started moving using her hands and body. She pushes herself up on all fours and then slides using her body (like a caterpillar) to get what she wants on the floor. And she is fast!! Now, she complaints being in the play-pan. She wants to be out FREEeeeeeeee.
Nisha is also teething....(so soon!!). She tends to get irritated and fussy. At times she wants to just bite or chew on something. Papa and Mommy uses a teething ring with her. At times, they would cool it in the fridge and give it to her to bite on. It soothes the gums.
Nira has become a little more sensitive these days. She wants to be always be the big protective sister for Nisha. She gets upset if we tell her not to squeeze Nisha so much when she hugs. Mommy feels it is a matter of growing up with a new sibling.
Mommy wonders how does one manage with many many kids and is able to provide equal attention and love to them?? Wanna share some thoughts here?
Welcome

Massaging is good
Lately, I noticed that Nisha is not going poo poo everyday. I started giving her more water in between her feeds. It helps but not always......
My frens shared that she used to massage her son. Her son constipates and at times it takes many days too. But after the massage, he goes poo poo within 2 hrs. She suggested me to try it if Nisha doesn't go for the day.
The massage is done from upper part of the tummy going downwards, covering the bums and thighs. I usually use baby oil on her. It really helps.
Also, massaging the whole body of the child helps to calm them down and is very healthy for the body. Once you have masssaged the body, you can put powder on the body. This helps to ensure the child isn't too cold. If you are only massaging his/her stomach area as i mentioned earlier, then you don't need to put powder. You all should try this :))
How would you deal with kids/babies that are not going to the toilet daily? Pls tell :)))

Mommy is sorry :|
On Monday 28/7/2008, mommy scolded Nira for taking her friend's pencil..... Mommy then found out that Nira did tell the truth about not taking the pencil. Her friend gave it to her..............!
The poor thing!
Nira: "Mommy, Priyanka (her fren) gave me the pencil...."
Mommy: "Are you sure???!!!!"
Nira nods (yes).
Priyanka confirms.......
Mommy: "Mommy is sorry darling. Mommy doesn't want you to take things from others. If you want something ask mommy ok?"
Nira: "Ok mommy.....snif snif..."
Hugs hug hug hug and kiss kiss kiss kissssssssss.
Punishment has been lifted! Little more explanation about not taking things from others and all ok now.

Nisha baby now is demanding to be carried!!! She communicates like this:
"ooooooooooo aaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuwaaaaaaaaaaaa" suck suck suck (mittens) and continues "ennnnnnnnnnnga aaaaaa aaaaaaaaawwwwwuuuuuuu aaaaaaaaaaa" Smilesssssssssssss
Mommy says "That's great darling. Mommy's sayang!!!!"

Mommy, do you love me?
When i was feeding Nisha the other day, Nira came to me and asked if we loved her. Shocking question!
I make sure that I often tell Nira that I love her. I also try my level best to spend atleast a short time everyday with her after work (just to cuddle her) so that she feels secure.
She sometimes say things like "You have to take care of me" or " Will you take care of me?". Sometimes, I feel really bad. She may be feeling left out. She often wants someone (like grandma or grandpa or friends) to stay in the house with her......... If we do not get her what she wants (like toys, etc.), she also feels we do not love her.
We take her out - just Nira, mommy and papa. At times, just Nira and mommy or Nira and papa. This thing is still at the back of her mind though. It comes up when she feels down or upset....
How do you deal with it esp with other siblings around? How do you give him/her that comfort that he/she is loved head to toe? Do share your thoughts.
