Doggy....doggy....

Mommy has been so busy that she has not been having time once again to update the blog...... :(
Mommy says will do it soon :))

Today, Nira has gone with Grandpa to see the puppies in the Dog shop. Nira just loves puppies. She goes crazy over them. Mommy told her that she could have one when she is a lot bigger and can take care of herself and puppy.

Nisha on the other hand has started moving using her hands and body. She pushes herself up on all fours and then slides using her body (like a caterpillar) to get what she wants on the floor. And she is fast!! Now, she complaints being in the play-pan. She wants to be out FREEeeeeeeee.

Nisha is also teething....(so soon!!). She tends to get irritated and fussy. At times she wants to just bite or chew on something. Papa and Mommy uses a teething ring with her. At times, they would cool it in the fridge and give it to her to bite on. It soothes the gums.

Nira has become a little more sensitive these days. She wants to be always be the big protective sister for Nisha. She gets upset if we tell her not to squeeze Nisha so much when she hugs. Mommy feels it is a matter of growing up with a new sibling.

Mommy wonders how does one manage with many many kids and is able to provide equal attention and love to them?? Wanna share some thoughts here?

Hair cut :)))

Today, Nisha had a hair cut - a bald one :))) Now she really looks macho!

Nisha sat only mommy's lap while aunty Maria cuts her hair with a machine. Nisha and papa watch.

Nisha was looking up and down and moving side to side....hehehhehe. She looked very surprised and kept looking at aunty Maria. She is a clever girl. Did not cry. And now, Nisha's got no hair!

Earlier during the day when Nira came back from school, mommy and papa told her that Nisha was going for a hair cut. Nira was shocked "Why mommy?! Don't cut her hairrrrr.....!". Mommy and papa were puzzled. Nira feels that cutting hair is not normal.

So mommy explains that once the hair is cut then it would grow longer and thicker. All Nira said was "mmmmmmmmm....". Somehow she still doesn't like the idea of cutting Nisha's hair or hers.

Pictures of bald (botak) Nisha coming right up!!

Weekend...! Fun fun weekend!

We went to Aunty Liz and Uncle Bipin's house last weekend. It was so much fun!!!

We cooked with aunty Liz. And Nira helped to clean :))) Aunty Liz played with and tickled Nira. Uncle Bipin told Nira stories with a picture book.

Little Nisha was on all fours and shaking her body, trying to move. When she bumped into something and couldn't move, she cries for help......"eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". Uncle Bipin came to the rescue.

Nisha's daily exercise: turn on back-turn to side-turn on tummy-up on all fours-move/shake-flat on tummy-and finally but this is not the end try to turn back to original position-scream if help is needed!

On Sunday, we went to the swimming pool.

Nira: "Mommy, I was not scared of the water anymore. Papa took me to the deeper water (adult pool) and I was not scared."

Papa and Nira had a fantastic time in the pool. Came back and all were as flat as a tire!!!

What a weekend! Unfortunately, we forgot the camera....so no photos la :(

Bz..........Bz........Bz.................

Mommy has been so busy these days that she is not updating the blog more often..... hmmmm, i need to talk to her about this :P

Today, I refused to wake at 7am.

Nira: "Mommy, I wanna sleeeeeeeeeeeep. I am tttttttttttiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiredddd!!! Boo hooo hoooo"

Aah but mommy has some tricks up her sleeves. The tickle machine!!!!! Mommy's 2 fingers walk up and down Nira's back.... small giggles escape from Nira (hah! the engine is starting!!!). Then the fingers continue walking up to the head and then down to the neck.... more giggles heheheh. Next the fingers walk to the stomach..... there the volcano of laughter breaks out!!!!!! Engine is up and ready.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While all the above was taking place, baby Nisha as usual pushes herself using her legs. Her bums are up while she continues sleeping. What a cute sight!!!!

Nira starts making all her usual noise yapp yapp, sing sing......... Baby Nisha opens her eyes and starts her morning lecture "eeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyy iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". It actually gets louder towards the end, crescendooooooooooo!

Alarm for papa to get up and feed the hungry little stomach ;))))

Groggy papa: "Hey hey coming coming. Why so many complaints?!"

Then milk arrives .............hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Massaging is good

Lately, I noticed that Nisha is not going poo poo everyday. I started giving her more water in between her feeds. It helps but not always......

My frens shared that she used to massage her son. Her son constipates and at times it takes many days too. But after the massage, he goes poo poo within 2 hrs. She suggested me to try it if Nisha doesn't go for the day.

The massage is done from upper part of the tummy going downwards, covering the bums and thighs. I usually use baby oil on her. It really helps.

Also, massaging the whole body of the child helps to calm them down and is very healthy for the body. Once you have masssaged the body, you can put powder on the body. This helps to ensure the child isn't too cold. If you are only massaging his/her stomach area as i mentioned earlier, then you don't need to put powder. You all should try this :))

How would you deal with kids/babies that are not going to the toilet daily? Pls tell :)))

Mommy is sorry :|

On Monday 28/7/2008, mommy scolded Nira for taking her friend's pencil..... Mommy then found out that Nira did tell the truth about not taking the pencil. Her friend gave it to her..............!

The poor thing!

Nira: "Mommy, Priyanka (her fren) gave me the pencil...."
Mommy: "Are you sure???!!!!"
Nira nods (yes).

Priyanka confirms.......

Mommy: "Mommy is sorry darling. Mommy doesn't want you to take things from others. If you want something ask mommy ok?"
Nira: "Ok mommy.....snif snif..."

Hugs hug hug hug and kiss kiss kiss kissssssssss.

Punishment has been lifted! Little more explanation about not taking things from others and all ok now.

******************************************************************************

Nisha baby now is demanding to be carried!!! She communicates like this:

"ooooooooooo aaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuwaaaaaaaaaaaa" suck suck suck (mittens) and continues "ennnnnnnnnnnga aaaaaa aaaaaaaaawwwwwuuuuuuu aaaaaaaaaaa" Smilesssssssssssss

Mommy says "That's great darling. Mommy's sayang!!!!"

Heheheheheh
